Boxing Day Style

Christmas Day passed in a flash and Boxing Day was upon us. I love Boxing Day. In fact I think I prefer it to Christmas Day. I find it is a little more relaxed and cold meats with mash and pickles is one of my favourite meals.

There were no leftovers here but still plenty to eat and drink.

We started the day with a big buffet breakfast. Who doesn’t love a three course breakfast. After FaceTiming my children we set out on a long walk. We love to investigate when in holiday so comfortable footwear is essential. These white trainers from are both stylish and comfortable. I am so glad I made the last minute purchase before I came on holiday.

The weather was not as good today. Very cloudy and a little windy so even though it was 16 degrees jeans and a light jacket were needed.

Straw Pom Pom Bag – bought three years ago on holiday

We walked for miles today and eventually rested our weary feet in a very busy and friendly Irish bar for a few drinks.

We arrived back at the hotel with time for a quick shower and change of clothes before dinner in the hotel restaurant. It was a Brazilian themed night. Which was amazing but I ate my body weight in meat. This is a very sleepy me on my way back to our room to fall into a food induced deep sleep. Thank god for loose fitting dresses.

Tomorrow we are planning an even longer walk to a Gypsy Market. My poor feet but I really do need to walk off all the food I am eating.
