The Relaunch of my Blog – Wiggle When You Walk
I have made a lot of changes to my social media accounts in recent months to try and reignite the passion I once had. Instagram is my favorite social media platform and it has been a big part of my daily life these last three years, since I created the popular #mystylephotochallenge. I love the community this has created and I have made some fabulous friends. But more recently my feed has become swamped by a constant stream of new “fashion bloggers”. Many of them accounts that I have followed for years which have suddenly become shop windows, showcasing the latest things they have bought or been gifted. It becomes a struggle to locate the posts of the genuine people who want nothing more but to share little snippets of their life and have a chat. The whole thing became quite depressing and to be blunt a little “fake”. I won’t dwell on this too much now as I have written many posts over recent months on this subject and I fear that I may now be on the verge of spearheading a mini revolution.
In order to restore my sanity I took a short break from Instagram before rejoining with a fresh new account @wigglewhenyouwalk I started posting daily pictures celebrating 100 days of Wellness. This was a breath of fresh air for me. I advertised my new account to all my original friends and I was once again able to see posts from the people that I loved to interact with. I also started to follow some new accounts that celebrated health, fitness and well-being. My love for Instagram has slowly returned and I have made a few new friends in the process.
I am also slowly finding my feet again on Twitter and as my mindset has changed over these last few weeks my writers block has lifted and I feel motivated once again to tap tap tap away at my keyboard, and write about all the things that inspire me and bring me joy. So what better excuse than to start over with a fresh new look.
For those that followed my previous blog I will be slowly migrating some of the posts that I know people resonated with over to this new blog. And hopefully a new audience will also enjoy some of my ramblings.
To those new followers, I hope you enjoy what I have to say. I am an open book and not afraid to say what I feel. As someone who has worked hard to battle depression and low self esteem I like to share my experiences in the hope that other people who suffer do not feel alone. That is not to say my blog is all doom and gloom. I also like to post about the other loves in my life; food, fitness, beauty, fashion and whatever else tickles my fancy.
I hope you enjoy my new blog and please feel free to leave a comment or get in touch with me via the details on my Contact page.
Thank you for reading.
